Kathryn Thompson: Hey. Hey, super stoked that you're tuning in this week's episode. I cannot wait to dive in today's topic [00:01:00] because I wanna share with you some really cool insights and clarity that I've been getting from my astrology, human design and gene keys in combination that is informing me of.
My next business evolution and what I'm really here to sort of evolve into and offer, and I've been having so many conversations with many of you who are sort of at that stage in your business, kind of in the in-between, maybe sitting a bit in that, that void state, and you're wondering like, what is my next move that I'm here to make?
And this could be because you've outgrown your offers. Maybe you're feeling resistance to what you think you should be doing in order to create the success, and so you're not really moving. There isn't any momentum there, whatever stage that is, if you feel like you lack clarity on what am I really here to do?
What am I really here to offer? How am I here to offer it? Is it one-to-one? Is it mass [00:02:00] appeal, big audiences, all of those sorts of things. Who are the types of clients I'm here to work with? Whatever those questions are, I've been able to get insight through my astrology, human design, and gene keys in combination that reflect back to me a lot of the resistance that I have felt.
In my life and career, and I'm gonna start with sort of the biggest one, which is traditional marketing. And this should be no surprise to anyone because if you're listening to this podcast, this is why I started this podcast. It was all about ditching the cookie cutter, one size fits all, and really challenging the status quo around traditional marketing, which is often very outcome driven, very tangible.
Uh, results driven in, in a lot of ways, but very surface level tactical and transactional, right? Treating people like leads. Um, you know, the more you cast a wide net and the more numbers and eyeballs on your stuff, the bigger profit you're gonna make, yada, yada, yada. We've heard all of this messaging and this [00:03:00] podcast was started to really sort of challenge some of that and showcase how oftentimes yes, that can work and does work for some people.
But there's many, many opportunities of evidence where people are doing things differently. For example, when I had my brick and mortar business, I had a very small audience. I had 700 people on my email list when we sold it, right? We had a very small audience on social media. I did very little marketing and promotion through digital marketing, and yet we were still successful and sold daily in our store, and there were other methods that we were using.
And so I love to challenge. The realistic measurements or metrics that the industry puts on us. Again, I think sometimes that's just putting us in limitation and we then exist within that limitation. Which brings me to something that I wanna share before I share with you some of the realization about myself that I'm realizing is that anything that I do share when it comes to astrology or human design or [00:04:00] jean keys.
If things don't resonate with you, then just leave them. If you're like, man, I don't really align with that or whatnot, that's totally cool. Again, things like astrology, human design, gene keys, Myers-Briggs, the Enneagram, whatever the framework might be, there's always a limitation within that, and we have to look at it that way.
And if we're trying to exist within the framework in its purest expression, purest form, then we are living within the limitation of it because. Lots of people now are coming out based on traditional human design and going, we're evolving it even with astrology, right? There's lots of people coming out going, there's different ways to sort of look at this, and that's the whole point of evolution and innovation.
And so I don't want you to think, okay, well this is what my human design says and this is what my astrology says, so I have to be this right. And I'm gonna share with you an example where. I didn't quite resonate with the thing and I still don't resonate with it, but that hasn't limited me from getting the clarity that I want from it.
And so [00:05:00] about a year ago, and I've mentioned this a few times on the podcast, about a year ago, I was feeling sort of the itch to create something new, potentially change the way that I deliver my services and. The way in which people can kind of work with me. I was feeling this desire to wanna work more intimately with people.
I was feeling a desire to really break away from the rhetoric out there that is. Cast the wide net, right? This like widespread visibility strategy that is often taught in mainstream digital marketing and really form more genuine connections kind of come back to the roots of what my marketing career was all about.
I often worked in non. For profit. I worked organically, lots of times, very genuine connection, relationship building. My brick and mortar was very much this way and established this way. And I think for a lot of people, at least this is what I experienced when I stepped into the online space, it was like, I don't know how to form connections digitally, like face-to-face, [00:06:00] no problem.
I can create connections and I was really good at it on my brick and mortar and in my corporate career, but when it came to online, it was like, how do you form genuine connections digitally? When a lot of the digital strategies are pushing out a message, right? When we create content for social media, we're pushing out a message.
When we're creating content on our emails, we're sending out those, right? And sure people can opt into what we have there, but are they really genuine connections? And so these are the things that I started to really. Tune into, 'cause they were coming up, right? I want to form more genuine connections. I'm really tired of the cast, the wide net thing.
I don't, I'm not really, after putting a ton of money into Facebook ads to then get a bunch of opt-ins of people that are opting in that may or may not really care about what you're doing, right? Like, sure they opted in in that moment, but how many of us have opted into things and then forgotten what we opted into?
I mean, I'm guilty of that. And so. It was like, how can I start to kind of do this? And [00:07:00] then the other piece of this that was really kind of forcing its way into my awareness was the notion around marketing and sales. And for me, always sort of questioning, I. The work that I did, because I always was like, there's more to just getting more clients and making more sales.
That always felt very surface level to me and very transactional like that. It was that. It was this linear transactional thing that happened. There was no really like humanness experience to it, you name it. Um, and I'm not saying that you can't add those elements to it, but it just felt surface level to me and every time I sort of expressed it outwardly, I was always met with this is just how it is.
And any time I met with that, I often know I need to go deeper in my own self-discovery because I don't buy into [00:08:00] that. This is how it is, this is how marketing is, right. The more people we drive through the funnel, the more sales you're gonna make. I am living proof that that is not the case. The more people I drove through, quote unquote my funnel, the less sales I made actually, which is wild, right?
And sure I could go in there and try to optimize and tweak and change and all the things, but the, the minute I would cut the cost down on ads, I would get more sales. So it didn't actually even make sense to industry standards. And I find that a lot of the results I do produce reflect that they don't actually make sense on paper.
They don't make sense to what everybody else is saying, right? And many people in my world will say the same thing. Like, I went viral, but I didn't follow any of the hacks or tips or whatever. Or I have a hundred people signed up for my workshop, but I didn't really promote it. You know, I did it in the most simple way possible.
And this will contradict [00:09:00] what a lot of marketers sort of say. Right? So where I'm going with this is, is that. I started to get these pings, these insights where I was like, huh, I don't, I'm not really wanting to do this, or I'm kind of feeling like this, or I'm wanting to maybe approach things in this way.
More depth, more genuine connection, more authentic expression. These were the things that were coming through, right? And by authentic expression, I mean not creating content with an outcome in mind. This is a really hard thing to sort of unravel when you run a business, and I can't say right now that I have the answer for that for you right now because I still think I'm entangled in that, and I think it will take unraveling for me to really trust a different way because I'm trained in marketing and communication, so.
It's like unlearning, you know, two decades of work. [00:10:00] And that's a process that I'm in, but I'm willing to kind of experiment within that. And what I mean by the outcome driven is that most marketing and sales communication, email, social media, has an end in mind. We're creating it with the end in mind. I wanna attract.
X amount of clients I'm gonna do, do, do, do, do. I'm gonna do this step, this step, this step, this step. I'm gonna write it this way, this way, this way, this way. And hopefully I get the clients in, right? Conversion, copywriting, direct response, all of that is outcome driven to create results. And I'm not saying we don't want to do that in business.
What I'm saying is my soul was like. I want you to create authentically without the outcome in mind, what would you express? What is the truth that you would put out there if the outcome wasn't even hanging over you in mind? Right? And subconsciously kind of lives there, whether or not I. I'm deliberately doing it or not.
When you have a business, you're, you're marketing through your communication. [00:11:00] So there's always that sort of in mind, whether it's conscious or unconscious. And so the first thing that I wanted to do was really kind of understand what my sun sign is, what a big part of my personality is. And what's interesting about this is my son is in the 12th House of Libra, and the 12th house is kind of.
The underbelly of society in a lot of ways, it's the unconscious, it's the unseen, it can be hidden enemies, and the one place that I didn't resonate with is like, it's usually behind the scenes work and could be medical therapist, doctor, whatever it might be healing, right? Healing realm. I don't necessarily disagree with, with the healing part of it.
I don't disagree with being able to spot hidden patterns and unconscious patterns and all of that. I can spot those very quickly. It was sort of the therapist in medical space that I was like, huh, I don't necessarily see that. And maybe someday that I will, but I don't necessarily see that. [00:12:00] So I looked at my sun sign and I was like, okay, it's, it's, it's hidden in the behind the scenes sort of thing.
It's here to sort of excavate truth. And that's in combination with Pluto, which is the planet of Rebirth, death, and rebirth, um, which is also the 12th house. Which also makes sense because I continually go through these, what I call death and rebirth. Death and rebirth. Death and rebirth. Right. Which is a many gen energy of pivoting.
Right. Or burning things to the ground and and shifting course and doing that sort of very quickly. So I looked at that Libra Sun in the 12th house and I was like, interesting. Okay. I'm here to sort of be in this unconscious healing sort of space. Interesting, right. As a marketing and sales expert and conversion copywriter, which is very strategic and sort of tactical and surface level, if you're looking at modern traditional marketing.
No wonder, then I'm feeling this itch [00:13:00] of like, huh, I'm kind of feeling like I want to go to the depths of things with people. I don't just wanna live on the surface. So that made sense. And then I looked at my rising sign, which is basically your identity, your physical body, like who you are. At the identity level, and I'm a Scorpio rising, and in astrology, they often say it's still waters run deep.
So Scorpio energy can be very mysterious, can be, um, mysterious, is probably the best way that I can describe it. There's a mysterious element to it, but there's a depth to it. Scorpio wants to go deep, right? Still, waters run deep. It's not the water on the surface, it's what's below the surface. And my mercury, which is how I communicate, is also in the first house.
So I'm wanting to look at my sun sign because that's my personality that's here. How I'm here to sort of shine in a lot of ways. I. And it's in the 12th house in the unconscious, death and [00:14:00] rebirth, you name it. Right? So there's depth there. And then I'm looking at my rising sign and I'm going, I'm Scorpio still.
Waters run deep. No wonder I'm challenging surface level marketing. But also why I'm craving depth work with clients, not just how to build a funnel, how to market, how to talk to your people, how to attract clients, how to make more sales, right? Why I sort of don't necessarily resonate with the whole marketing for an outcome, purpose, or selling a solution to a problem, right?
Because to me. Self discovery work and this depth work, to me is one of the greatest gifts we have and can give ourselves, working on ourselves, becoming better humans so that we can have better relationships, better life, all the sorts of things. To me, it starts from within. But a lot of the marketing and the way in which we teach marketing actually starts from the outside, right?
It's, it's [00:15:00] what strategy do I need to have in order to get the clients and make the sales? What offer do I need to have in order to get the clients and make the sales? How do I need to market and sell this? Where do I need to show up? What platform should I be on? Which is all external, strategic, tactical.
Now I'm going to add to this because it's really interesting. Um. But I'm gonna, I'm gonna wait for a minute because it's not that I'm not strategic analytical. I very much am, but I wanna bridge more onto the first house. So Scorpio rising, which is my identity. Like really what I'm here to sort of do. The interesting part about.
My first house is that I also have mercury there. So I'm looking at my sunshine, my personality, how I'm here to shine. I'm here to shine in the spa, in the healing space. Um, behind the scenes potentially in that I'm going deep with people. It's often the invisible, it's the things we don't see Right. That then transpire to.
Deeper healing, better awareness of self, you [00:16:00] name it. And then Scorpio wanting to go deep, not wanting to live on the surface, to excavate truth, to pull out what we might not be, you know, acknowledging the hidden truths. And for many business owners, I. We are hiding in our business sometimes, right? We are hiding what we really wanna say.
We are hiding how we show up. We are hiding, maybe even in the delivery of our programs, whatever that might look for you. But oftentimes there is a visibility block there. There is some hidden truth that's not coming through. Maybe you're offering something you don't even wanna offer in the first place, but you thought you needed to, to be successful, or you're doing things in your business that.
You were told you needed to do and you're, and you're seeing this resistance within your business. So sunshine, personality, Scorpio rising my identity, like who I am and, and what it's like to be in my orbit as a Scorpio energy. Right? Very deep and. Then I look to go, well, where's my mercury? Which is [00:17:00] the way in which I'm communicate, right?
What am I, what am I here to communicate? And the interesting thing about my Mercury is it's in the first house. So I'm here to communicate deep transformation. I'm, I'm not here to speak in how to. Change your business in five easy steps or how to find out what your zone of genius is in, uh, three simple steps, right?
All, very surface level, all very tactical. For me, I'm here to communicate deep transformation and it's often done vocally the way you're hearing this now. And it's also done through transmissions, so it's not done through. Outcome driven marketing, very strategic, intellectual, logical, psychological, which again, aligns very much with why I started this podcast in the first place.
And also very informative because I was resisting [00:18:00] the how to content. I was resisting the five easy steps and my Scorpio side and my Mercury in Scorpio was like. But there's always more to it. There's always more below the surface. It's not as simple as just five steps. And if it was as simple as five steps, then everybody would be doing it.
And we all know that everybody isn't doing it. And so I. I knew and I was challenging it, but then I was like, but we have to create bite-size content. If we want people to pay attention, we've gotta do this, da da da da, dah. Right? So this is my own integration process that I'm reflecting to you, and hopefully you're looking at yourself going, huh, I have this resistance.
Now I might go take a look at my astrology chart and ha have a look and I'll share with you kind of how to do that in a simple way from this podcast. But I looked at my mercury and it was in the first house. That's how I'm here to express deep transformation. However, what's interesting about that is Uranus is conjunct my mercury, which means I'm quick thinking, I'm innovative thinking, I'm [00:19:00] forward thinking.
Um, chat, GPT told me it was genius style thinking. My Leo North node in the 10th host of careers, like own that shit. And my Libra son is like, deflect, hide, you know, don't brag. Right. Genius style thinking like they're gonna question who you are, but that's what Mercury Uranus combined is, right? It's innovative, forward thinking.
Genius style thinking. It's also like excavating truths, like pulling the truth out. And Chachi PT also told me that, and I, and I resonate with this, is that you can spot very quickly through knowing instinct, where there's incongruency in. Energy in what people are saying and how they're acting, and you can spot that incongruency very, very quickly and in a way that's done instinctively, which will take oftentimes people months or years to uncover that.
I can do that very quickly, and I've been [00:20:00] doing that my whole life. But where I went sideways and I shared on last week's podcast is I always approached it from a place of judgment, and this is a very transparent, vulnerable statement, is that I always approached it from a place of right or wrong, I'm right, you're wrong.
And, and not deliberately, but it was sort of like I was fighting against, I could see really quickly where there was incongruency. I could see very quickly why somebody said they wanted something and they weren't getting it. Like I could see that so quickly. But it was the way in which I was communicating it to that person that would create resistance and.
That is indicative very much in my human design as well. My mercury is Gate 43, which is a projector gate, and projectors, as many of you might know, is waiting for invitation and not like sitting on the sidelines, being like, I'm waiting for invitation. But oftentimes when we communicate what we see very [00:21:00] quickly.
And it's done without invitation or acceptance. People will resist it or it'll go in one ear out the other. And that has been a very huge learning for me. So now it's not necessarily about waiting on the sidelines for invitation, but if I'm sitting in front of someone and I observe something. I will naturally say, Hey, I'm observing something.
Would you like me to share what that is or what I'm seeing? And if they say yes, then I share it. And it's often a lot more well received rather than, Hey, you told me you want X and you're doing Y, and this is exactly why this is happening. Right? Which is kind of how I would approach it. And not in a rude or mean way again, you know.
Um, it is just not my nature to, to do that, but it, it would come off judgmental or would come off in a way that they weren't ready to receive it or perceive what I was was saying. And so I just wanted to share [00:22:00] that little tidbit with you there, because the Mercury, Uranus is not only depth of transformation, but it's innovative.
And anytime we're communicating something that's innovative, that's forward thinking, that's different, we're likely gonna be met with resistance. If we aren't intentional, but also if we don't communicate it in a way that's going to be receptive and if we're not communicating it to the people that wanna receive it, which is another big thing that I think a lot of business owners experience, at least I have, is that sometimes you can communicate the thing over and over and over again and it doesn't resonate or land, and it's because the person that's receiving it.
Isn't either ready to receive it or they're just not on the same frequency in order for it to land. But then they go and they hear it from somebody else and they're like, well, so and so told me this, and it so makes sense. And you're like, but I've been telling you that for months, or I've been telling you that for a year.
I don't know if you've experienced that, but that is an [00:23:00] indication that you're likely sharing what you're seeing potentially with. Somebody who isn't ready to receive it, or they're not meant to receive it from you. They're meant to receive it from somebody else, which is why it's so important to understand the, the type of humans, not just on a demographic level, but energetic level, the type of humans you're meant to work with on an energetic level.
And that's a conversation for another podcast. But I just, again, want to quickly loop back to what I'm looking at here. I'm looking where my son is. I'm looking at. Where my rising sign is, and I'm looking at where my mercury is and I'm looking at the themes from that. Right? So Scorpio being date, deep depth, that's that.
This, the Libra is all harmony, right? It's harmony, balance, justice. But because it's in the 12th house, it's the house of like. The unseen, the unconscious patterns of unconsciousness, but also Pluto being conjunct. My Libra is [00:24:00] all about death and rebirth, which is also the 12th house. And then I looked at where my, what, what planets were in my 10th house.
And I have my north node in Leo in the 10th house, which is the ruler of the sun. So I just wanna make that connection quickly, and this might be a little bit more advanced for what you know about astrology, but I'm, I want to share with you how I'm making the correlations and how I'm connecting the dots here that are giving me clarity.
Based on my points of resistance, which is really important because if you're feeling resistance in your business, oftentimes, and I've done this, is that you express it outwardly. It's not received in a way that is maybe supportive for you and your your journey, and then you go back to doing the thing you were doing because.
You have outside evidence that that's the way you need to create success, or this is the way you need to create a business. Or you've created success in your business and you're like, now I'm being asked to go left field or right field, however you wanna look at it, and I don't know how to make the [00:25:00] transition from what I've created to something that's totally different or feels very different.
So my Leo in the 10th house, which is the north node, which is destiny, but also amplification, dialing up, right? Leo is very, I don't wanna say performative, but it's it's self-expression, creative expression, creative leadership. It's center stage, it's in the spotlight. This is a natural. Paradox between my Libra son, which is hidden behind the scenes, right?
Not necessarily wanting to show face. That can be a shadow of the 12th house, right? Hiding, right, hidden. And then my Leo's like, hello. Like put yourself out there, shine. Right. Self-expression, authentic expression, which is huge for me, which is why ditching the cookie cutter makes sense. Right? Which is why carving my own path makes sense, which is why authenticity and authentic expression is so important to me, and creative leadership in a lot of [00:26:00] ways, like getting creative with the work that you're doing and creating things from that creative place rather than just being outcome driven.
Right. So I'm a very. Process oriented creative person, and that shows very much in the 10th house, which is the house of career. So I'm here to be seen, is basically what that's saying and, and be seen for my creative, authentic expression. And that is a resistance that was showing up. Last year where I started to kind of contemplate things.
'cause I was like, I feel like everything we're doing is very methodical in my company. It's very structured, it's systematized. And not that that's a bad thing, but it just felt very like, well if you do this, this will happen. If you do this, this will happen. And it, it didn't feel very creative to me. And it also felt like.
I had to express a certain thing, right? Like you have to get known for what you do. You have to have the brand, you have to have the offer that's very specific and people know who you are, [00:27:00] the marketing expert, the conversion copywriter. And I kept thinking to myself, but I feel like I'm more than just a marketing expert and conversion copywriter like that doesn't really express who I am authentically.
And so I think this. Process of authenticity is a lifelong process. I think it's an unraveling and a rediscovering and an emergence that comes through as you move through your life and gather life experiences. So. What's interesting is, is that I could sense and see where I was hiding in my business, and I could also sense where my Leo was like step up to the plate.
I could sense where I was deflecting recognition, and then also my Leo going, hello, accept that recognition. I want to be seen. And not from a needing validation, but just that Leo sort of energy, that bold, fiery energy, and so. Why I'm sharing that component with you is 'cause there's this inner battle, right?
To hide and be seen, to hide and be seen. It's kind of [00:28:00] like the cancer, right? The crab, the retreat go forward. Retreat go forward in a lot of ways. But the Libra and Leo and the placements, that's within my chart. Is I'm here to be recognized for the work that I do, and I desire that the Libra desires that, but, or sorry, the Leo desire desires that, but the, but the Libra is like, but I'm in the 12th house of what's hidden.
Let's just like hang out here and, and not be fully seen as that sun sign there. Right? And so those are kind of the key components that started to offer a lot of clarity for me, really establishing why surface level marketing wasn't for me and. Teaching it is difficult because I want to go deep with people.
I wanna understand why there's visibility blocks. I wanna understand why they wanna do this work in the first place. I wanna understand if the work they're putting out there right now is I. Soul fulfilling work, or if it's work that they think that they need to do in order to [00:29:00] create money in their life.
I wanna understand if there is a tension between financial security and creative expression, which is a huge one for me, right? Is that financial security, living modern life, all the things we need to pay for. And then well, wait a minute, my creative side wants to do this, that Leo side wants to do this, and.
My IIC and Pisces, which is the fifth host of creative expression, right? The Pisces being the, another water sign, very sort of fluid and ethereal and, and all of that is like how to balance those components. And then there was also this tension between intuitive spiritual healing work and then. My strategic analytical mind and going, well, how do these coexist together?
And what's interesting is my midheaven, which is also about career in a lot of ways, is in the 10th house or in the 11th house of Virgo, and Jupiter and Venus are also in the 11th house of Virgo. So I have a stellium in Virgo, Virgo iss, very practical, very detail oriented, very strategic, very analytical.[00:30:00]
And I also have a stellium in the 12th house and also have a stellium in the first house, right in Scorpio depth of transformation. And so I'm like, how do I merge these two? Right? Because a lot of the work that I've done today is very strategic, is very analytical, it's systematized. Well, Virgo is very much that, right is systems in a lot of ways.
And then also systems at a global scale, like helping global community, global scale create systems. And so it's no wonder I am trying to integrate these parts of who I am, but I think a lot of us are told it's one or the other, right? You gotta be strategic and analytical for business. You gotta have the metrics, you gotta aim for the goals, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah.
And then the rest of us are like, the other part of us is like, but I'm also very deep and introspective and I want to help people heal on a deeply transformational way. And I don't wanna live at the surface, but how do these integrate? Right? And I [00:31:00] think that's a big part of the discovery that I'm seeing now is, is that for me to move forward in my business in a way that feels deeply fulfilling beyond what I've already created, is I have to integrate those parts.
And so if you're listening to this and you're thinking, wow. This is the tension I've been feeling, whether it's financial security versus creativity, or it's analytical versus intuitive, or it's how do I create a spiritual business and then ask for money, right? That's a big one, right? Is like I have these intuitive and spiritual gifts, but I feel wrong asking for money for it or pricing it accordingly.
Or a big revelation I had was, as I always attached, higher income offers to very tangible outcomes to results driven ROI. What's interesting about the [00:32:00] work that I've done is that I actually value deeper transformational work above analytical, strategic, outcome driven. I'm not saying either is right or wrong.
I think that. In business and in life, we want to pay for something or invest in something and get what we want in return. A hundred percent right? But the way in which we measure ROI in business is often financial and it's often very tangible. And so I think another tension within myself that I know needs to be integrated and potentially with you as well.
Is this idea that intangible work, the work we do on ourselves and the integration work that we do on ourselves, and the more we discover about who we are and how we can be better for our relationships, for our businesses, for our team, whatever that might look like is actually far more valuable [00:33:00] than creating the, like the tangible ROI.
That's, that's what I value and that's my belief. And somebody might have a different belief and that's okay, but that means they'll structure their business the way that they want to. But I had to overcome the belief that the tangible ROI is the thing that people are gonna pay for, and that's the only thing they're gonna pay for.
And. If I am to offer these discovery sessions, or I'm m to go deeper with clients, which I already do, go deeper with clients. Anybody that's been in my world will will attest to that. But really sort of promote from that front end perspective where I'm like, this is the work I do. It's deep, it's transformational.
It's gonna change the way you look at your life. Business offers, the way in which you look at yourself, the way in which you market yourself. All of it. It's gonna change the way you do that. To me, that's more valuable and a more valuable ROI and has a greater ripple effect. Then I'm gonna help you make 10 [00:34:00] K months, or I'm gonna help you attract clients consistently.
Again, neither is right or wrong, but that's just how I'm designed and what I value, which I'm going to leave you with this, and this one stumped me for probably four years, if I'm being honest with you. And sometimes I think the message will come when you're ready to sort of receive it. Like I said. But Gate 50 is my personality, sunshine in human design, and also Jean keys, and it's my life's work and my brand identity.
For the longest time, I had no idea how to make peace with this, so anybody that you know says that they resonate a hundred percent with what their charts say and stuff like that. Kudos to you. And I'm gonna go back to what I said at the beginning, right? Sometimes we live within a limitation, and I think I was stuck in the limitation of this.
I'm like, I don't understand the gate 50. I just don't understand it and I don't understand how that translates to me, my life's work and my brand. And what's [00:35:00] wild about it is, is that when I started to go back into my Jean Keys, I uncovered it this year and it's all around values and what matters. And I'm here to quite lit, literally live that what matters to me and what do I value.
But for four years as I was self navigating this. I couldn't make peace with it. I was like, I don't know how this translates into anything that I'm doing. And it was all around values work in a lot of ways, but it was responsibility. There was a responsibility element in there. It was also in my spleen, which is undefined.
And that was kind of like, I don't, I don't know, this doesn't make sense to me. Okay, I'm just gonna kind of carry on. 'cause that's what you do when something doesn't resonate or align. I'm just like, let it be and then go, you know, think about the other ones or, or play with the other ones. I. And it, I read something this year through Richard Rudd, which was a new video of his that just was like, okay, now I get it.
It's what [00:36:00] matters, which is what I've been saying probably since I was in my twenties, is that there's more to life than making more money, attracting more clients. Right. Building this empire. I've been saying that and. That's not to discredit people that want that, but that's not what matters to me. What matters to me is experiencing life and living life, right?
And being able to soak up all of the elements of life. And that is often why I'll say like, money isn't the driver for me, but we, we need the money to live the life, right? That's a given in this modern society. So I'm sharing that with you because. For me, what really matters is that we are the highest expression of who we are in our life, in our business, in our relationships, and that doesn't happen on the surface.
Getting more clients, making more sales, making more money is not going to give you the freedom, give you the life, all of the things. Sure. On paper it will look [00:37:00] like that. Yes, sure. Having more money allows us. More freedom. But if you don't feel free right now, if you don't feel you're good enough right now, if you don't feel you're making enough money right now, you'll always not feel that way.
It's why lots of us go in the feast and famine rollercoaster because we never feel like we have enough. That's that scarcity sort of mindset. So hopefully through this kind of behind the scenes of what I'm sort of transitioning through. Gives you sort of insight of how I've been using astrology, human design and gen keys to sort of get clarity on what is the next evolution.
And it all started with my points of resistance. So that's what I would recommend for you. If you've got points of resistance right now where you're like, I don't wanna do this, this, this, and this, then write those down and then go and investigate your sun sign and where it is in your chart. Go look at.
Your rising [00:38:00] sign. Go look at where your mercury is. Go look at where your, what's in your 10th house of career, and I'm gonna leave you with this because I said this to a coach a year ago. I said, I do not want to teach. I don't wanna teach. I don't feel like I'm a teacher. I don't want to teach, I don't the PowerPoint presentations, like I, I don't, I don't want that.
The how to, the five steps. Here's my methodology, here's my process, yada, yada, yada. And she came back to me and said, we attach meaning to words, and I've said this before, right? And the meaning that I was attaching to teaching was teaching the five steps, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so I got tangled up in that 'cause I was like, okay, maybe it's just the way that I'm looking at it.
And what's interesting about this when I went down my astrology rabbit hole is the ninth house is all around teaching foreign travel, teaching, stuff like that. And I have no planets in that house. Granted, sure I could have transits that go through there. [00:39:00] I can get that energy similar to human design. If you have undefined, doesn't mean you don't have those, you have it, have it all within your body graph.
It's just what's more sort of amplified. I have nothing in the ninth house, so it, it makes total sense that my inner soul's, like, I don't want to teach, I don't want to teach how tos. I don't want to teach the five steps to da dah. I don't want da dah. Right. It's like, it's the, I don't want, and I said this on the last episode, we orbit around what we reject.
It's not about. What we're rejecting. It's then getting curious and going, well, what is this telling me about what I value? Which then brings me back to my Gate 50, right? Well, no wonder when I started to reframe it that way around, what do I value? What matters? Then I could get clear about what I value and what matters.
Well, actually. I want to go deep and intimate and have genuine connections that came through. Okay, cool. Now let's take a look at your astrology human design. And it's right there written in the chart, literally right Depth of [00:40:00] transformation, deep, intimate. Sure. I've got a stallion in the 11th house, which is all around community.
So I do have a capacity for global scale or working within a global company or global communities. So. Your chart will also tell you like some of us are meant to sell. Thousands of things. And some of us are meant to sell high ticket intimate containers, and some of us are meant to sell a combination of it.
And that's the beauty of being able to sort of look at these frameworks to give us that insight, especially if we feel like we're stuck and we don't have the clarity to do it, and then we can kind of run with it. So. With that. I hope that has given you some insight into my own journey with this, how I've sort of interpreted things, how I'm taking it and kind of running with it and what that.
The themes of my next evolution sort of look like, which is gonna be a lot more deep, intimate work, um, less creating mass appeal and, [00:41:00] and group programs to scale, if that makes sense. Right. A lot of us were taught that model of freedom, create a group program that you can scale on a mass level, and that will give you the freedom you desire.
That's great for some people, but for some people that's not the level of work we want to do and or the type of work we want to do, and I think it's really important that. If we feel resistance to it or we feel this call for freedom to get really clear on what that freedom looks like. Because to me, freedom isn't necessarily, I have a bazillion dollars in my bank account and I'm free to do whatever I want.
Sure. Autonomy and a authentic expression is important a hundred percent. But if I'm not living true to who I am, I'm not free. That's how I look at it. If I'm not. The most authentic expression of who I am and expressing my work and how I work with clients in a way that's deeply fulfilling and aligned for me, then I'm not free.
Doesn't matter how much money you give me, I won't be free in that model. And so we've [00:42:00] gotta look at it from that perspective of like, what does freedom actually mean to us? Because I think a lot of values work and then I'm gonna end with this, but a lot of values work. I have so much to say about it. A lot of values work is very surface level.
Right. A lot of work is, and to me it's the depth work that's going to actually help you move quicker to where you want to go. And the reason why is that the values work that I've done, um, and maybe you've done deeper work, but it's all like, pick a word that represents your top four categories of what you like, right?
Integrity, creativity, freedom. Right? Like, these are things that, the values work that I've done. But freedom means very different things to very different people and so does integrity and so does creativity, right? And so does travel. Like travel is one of my top ones for values and things that matter, but it's not necessarily travel to foreign places.
It's travel through experiences and experiences being experiencing life. So that could be literally going down the street and having a really nice [00:43:00] meal with friends. Or it could be taking a spa day when I feel like it, right? It's experiencing life. It's soaking up the, the, the essence of it's living, it's being alive, right?
And. That is what travel is for me, but it could be something different to you. And that's, I think the key here is to take what matters to you, what are your values? And then get real like drill down, pure corio style, drill down. What does that actually mean? What does it look like, feel like, sound like to you?
And then are you creating your business in that capacity? Oh, wait a minute. I don't wanna run an evergreen program 'cause I don't want to be on all the time. I want to operate with my cyclical nature and in rhythm, right? I want start and end dates to things because that's how my energy works. I know how much I can commit for the next six months, but after that, I don't know.
Right? Pure manage gen energy. Like I know what I can commit here. Now it's a yes now, but in [00:44:00] 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 months, this ongoing process. It doesn't resonate with me because I might run out of the energy and, and want to pivot and start something different or change course. Right? And again, it's not about being disciplined to the thing and just do the thing.
This is, that's old school sort of rhetoric in a lot of ways. But it's, it's getting true to who you are and then looking at how you've constructed things and go, oh, I can see why I have resistance on that. Oh, I can see why when I'm teaching copywriting frameworks, my inner authentic being is like, but. I don't actually want to create that way.
I don't want to create in a formula. If I say this, this, this, and this, then X will happen. I don't operate that way. I'm a non-linear being. Right. So for you, I would start with where your points of resistance and. From those points of resistance, getting really clear on what that's showing you about what you value, so that you're stepping away from [00:45:00] orbiting from what you reject.
And then take a look at your chart from the things that I have shared with you here today. Your sun, your rising sign, your mercury. What's placed in your 10th house where your midheaven is, and just have a look at that and just get curious. You can go to chat GPT and ask questions there, or you could just Google it and see what articles come up and start to kind of read about it.
